One Water in Australia

Who are we? And how did we get here? The story starts in the UK, and is now global!

In 2005, One Water launched in the UK at the Live8 concert, after Duncan Goose had a conversation in a pub about how one billion people in the world don’t have access to clean drinking water.

Duncan and his mates decided to do something about it. To create a brand of bottled water which gave all the profits to fund water projects where they were needed the most.

Duncan started an idea which then snowballed. It seemed like everyone who heard about the project wanted to help make a difference too.

Friends, partners, former colleagues, friends of friends, friends of friends of friends, they all got involved to help in any way they could. These people are our heroes.

Australian One heroes

In Australia, we had a group of heroes too. Through our friends at GroupM and under the leadership of Alicen Spencer, the first bottles of One Water Australian spring water came off the production line in 2009.

In the UK it’s not just water anymore. Over there we have a whole range of products, including eggs, toilet tissue, handwash, bread and oats, all raising money for like-for-like humanitarian issues. Watch out for our next products coming in 2012 as the One brand grows in Australia.

And remember, every time you buy a One product, you do one good thing.
