Make a difference through The One Foundation Australia

The One Foundation Australia is One’s charitable arm that distributes the money we earn from One products and your donations. All of the profits from One Water in Australia go to The One Foundation Australia in order to be distributed to fund water projects in developing countries, and where relevant, at home in Australia.

Funding like-for-like projects where they are needed most

Since we started One in Australia in 2009, we have been funding projects in Africa, along with our UK colleagues – our key driver always being to fund like-for-like projects where they are needed most. As part of that, we funded PlayPumps in Malawi and Lesotho in Africa.

In 2011, we decided to move our focus to Asia and Australia. We listened to our supporters who said that they wanted to do something a little bit closer to home. The UK will continue the great work they do through the One Foundation funding work in Africa, whilst here The One Foundation Australia will fund projects in Asia. Also, as we grow and raise more money, we will fund small like-for-like projects in Australia.

The One Foundation Australia will focus on projects closer to home

The first of our projects in Asia is in Cambodia. There are over 70 villages taking part in the programme, run by a major charity, and we are funding a number of specific water-based projects as part of that. Keep checking back over the year, as we provide more information about where money from One Water has been used.
